Capacity is measured in watt-hours (Wh). Here's a quick guide to matching size to use case.
The fastest way to get your first qualifying Amazon sale â these are impulse-buy-friendly and consistently bestsellers.
The sweet spot for most campers. 800W AC output, charges 0â100% in 70 min via wall outlet. Solar-compatible up to 220W input. Consistently Amazon's #1 bestseller in portable power.
Ultra-compact and lightweight at 7.5 lbs â easy to bring anywhere. Perfect for day hikes, car camping, and keeping devices charged during power outages. Charges via solar panel or wall.
Incredible value at this price point â 600W AC output from a 268Wh unit, with a built-in UPS mode for power outage protection. LFP battery chemistry means 2,500+ charge cycles vs 500 for NMC.
Enough capacity to run a fridge, power tools, or a CPAP for multiple nights. The most popular segment.
The best-reviewed power station on Amazon, full stop. 1800W AC output handles almost any appliance. Charges from flat to 80% in 50 minutes. Expandable to 2048Wh with an add-on battery.
A step above the original 1000 with LFP cells (4,000 cycles), faster solar charging, and an expandable design. A favorite for van lifers and off-grid cabin owners who want durability over 5+ years.
2800W AC output in a mid-size package makes this the highest surge capacity in its class. LFP chemistry with 3,500 cycles. Dual solar inputs accept up to 500W for fast solar charging on clear days.
Serious off-grid setups, whole-home backup, and full-time van or RV power.
Powers your entire home during an outage â runs a full-size fridge, AC unit, lights, and devices simultaneously. Can be paired in parallel for 7200Wh. The gold standard for serious home backup.
A cult favorite for RV and van life. Massive 2000W solar input handles 6â8 panels at once for the fastest possible solar top-up. Thirteen output ports including 30A RV outlet.
Anker's flagship brings something new: a built-in 600W microinverter for connecting directly to home solar panels. Smart app control, 2400W AC output, and ultra-fast 1800W solar input set new benchmarks.

Almost all modern power stations use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) or Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC). LFP wins on longevity â 2,500â4,000 cycles vs. 500â800 for NMC â but NMC units are lighter for the same capacity. If you plan to use your station daily (off-grid living, van life), go LFP. For occasional camping, either is fine.
The continuous wattage rating tells you what you can run steadily. The surge rating (often 2â3x higher) covers brief motor startups like a fridge compressor kicking on. Appliance motors draw 3â5x their running wattage at startup â so a 700W fridge might need 2,000W surge to start. Check both numbers before buying.
Higher solar input wattage = faster recharging from solar panels on sunny days. If you're off-grid and dependent on solar, prioritize units with 400W+ input and use multiple panels in parallel. Most EcoFlow units lead this category in 2026.
Some stations (EcoFlow DELTA 2, Jackery 1000 Plus) accept add-on battery modules to double or quadruple capacity later. If you think your needs will grow â or if you're not sure how much you need â buying an expandable base is smart long-term strategy.
